Empowering Rural India Through Knowledge

At Barefooter School Foundation, a non-profit organisation, we see a vibrant future for rural India, fuelled by the knowledge and skills passed down through generations. Our mission is to spark this transformation by turning the practical wisdom of farmers, villagers, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) into engaging, accessible courses.

Pestomatic Controls Training Institute
Elevated from a private training centre in response to growing complexity in agricultural extension and plant-protection technology across Maharashtra.
2017
Renamed Barefooter School Foundation
Established as the Private Centre for Pest Management & Agricultural Extension at Shrirampur, Dist. Ahmednagar, by agri-entrepreneur Avinash Salunke. The new identity reflected a broader, community-first mission.

Collaborating with sugar factories, government bodies (YASHADA), NGOs, and international industry partners including Japanese MNCs — running 74+ short courses and preparing the first cohort for Skill2Japan placement.
